Lisa is good teacher. She makes sure that we eat protien everyday in food or in shakes. She tells us to work out and I like to play football. Coach Mike is my coach for football at Somers school and he helps me stay healthy. Fit club was my favorite class!

-Adam S.
In Music Management class we were talking about Spiderman the musical. I love Spiderman because he is so cool and he can shoot webs!

-Jenna L.

I like the Music Management class because all of my friends are here and I made new friends too. I want to come back to take classes. I'm interested in learning more about music because I love to listen to it. Lisa always helps me understand in class while we have fun. I want to come back to study with Lisa's class again. She would also be proud to see me eating healthy everyday. The Pace campus is also very comfortable to me, so I will definitely come back.

A veiw from Sheri:

I had to teach both of Georgettes Glee classes yesterday and I was nervous. I decided to let the students teach me instead, boy was I surprised. Matt, Michelle, and Marjan taught the first class - they did amazing! All the students in the second class were able to teach me about notes, staffs, breathing, and warming up! I am so proud of all the students who take classes with the SLC.

Voter Registration

  • Today is Tuesday March 6th Year 2012
  • Today I went around with Emily & Caitlin Kelly to ask if everyone was a registered voter. I aksed 15 students & found that 4 were not sure if they were or not. So all 4 of them filled out their forms. Sheri was proud of me. She only asked me to ask 2 students and I went above & beyond and asked more students. When we went back I told Sheri that I asked 15 students and not just 2. I got a high five and she said "You did It!" She was very proud of me, Michelle O.

Getting over my fear of owls

Today Is Saturday March 3rd Year 2012

After Lisa’s class today (2/28/2012), there was a guy that came to Pace to show us and to talk to us about his owls. I was very scared and I did not want to see them. I peeked out of the classroom at the owl but I was too afraid so I stayed inside. Then Sheri came in the classroom and asked me if I wanted to come out to see the little owl. I said, “No, I’m really scared, no thanks”. But Sheri said, “But if I hold your hand would that make you feel any better? I’m also scared to go out alone”. Then I said. “Yes, I will come with you and look at only the little owl.” And guess what? I did it and everyone was very proud of me for getting over my fears. I was very proud of myself for going with Sheri and looking at only the tiny owl. The big owl was scary because I saw its head turn all the way around in a circle. But I am very proud of myself for going to look at only the small owl, just very quickly, and I did get over my fear but not all the way. Lisa’s class all clapped for me and I felt a little bit better. Well, anyway, the SLC is the very best thing for me. It helped me defeat my fears.
